Please join us for a timely public policy update and interactive conversation with Grant Berkshire from Integer—a full-service advocacy firm in Washington, D.C., specializing in economic and nonprofit policy. Grant will share the latest developments in public policy and advocacy impacting the charitable giving sector. This program will also review ongoing advocacy initiatives from the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners and ways to engage in those efforts. Plus, attendees will learn about best practices, tips and ideas for how to be an effective advocate at the federal, state and local levels.

About the Speakers
Grant Berkshire is an Assistant Vice President at Integer, LLC. In his role, Grant leverages his deep knowledge of the federal legislative process and regulatory landscape to assist clients in navigating complex political environments. For Integer, Grant plays a leading role in the firm’s work on a myriad of policy issues, including energy, higher education, and child welfare. Before Integer, Grant was a Government Affairs Associate at Urban Swirski & Associates where he analyzed legislation and covered relevant congressional proceedings for clients. He writes regularly on federal tax legislation, electoral politics, and legal decisions that carry implications for federal policymaking. Prior to Urban Swirski, Grant worked in Representative Kurt Schrader’s (D-OR) D.C. office and previously worked on Vice President Kamala Harris’s (D-CA) 2016 U.S. Senate campaign. Grant graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in writing. Outside of the office, Grant can often be found struggling on a golf course in the DMV.
Jaina Moan has twenty years of experience working in a broad range of environmental fields including as a scientist, environmental program manager, non-profit administrator, and organization director. Jaina joined The Nature Conservancy in Nevada as External Affairs Director in 2018 and is based in Carson City, Nevada. Jaina has previously worked as an Executive Director for the Friends of Gold Butte, an Executive Assistant to the Director and Human Resources Manager for the Museum of Northern Arizona, and as Program Manager for the Coconino County Sustainable Economic Development Initiative. Prior to her non-profit career, Jaina worked for six years as a Research Specialist at the Colorado Plateau Analytical Lab, an environmental chemistry laboratory located at Northern Arizona University. Jaina holds a Master’s in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from Northern Arizona University. She is interested in advancing sustainable land and water conservation solutions for both people and the environment.
